Align Technology – is one of the key players in the dental technology market. The company produces various CAD/CAM software and intraoral scanners and invented the world-first transparent teeth aligners called Invasiling Systems.

Recently, Align announced an essential addition to this product that will expand possible treatment options – solid occlusion blocks. These tools can effectively help in Class II skeletal and dental correction, simultaneously aligning teeth in a single process.

Currently, this system is available for young patients 10-16 years old and can effectively fix the Class II malocclusion that represents about 45% of all malocclusion cases in the world that are characterized by jaw misalignment. In some cases, if left untreated, it may lead to chewing dysfunctions, aesthetic problems, and other issues, affecting life quality.

As the company claims, Mandibular Advancements can effectively treat this type of malocclusion, eliminating the need for multiple tools used in traditional approaches. The new appliance is made of SmartTrack material – one of the most convenient and predictable options – that melds with a laser, guaranteeing the tools' durability and comfort while wearing. Other companies' technologies, such as Smart Force and SmartStage, can provide sufficient teeth movement, allowing patients to maintain adequate chewing and speaking functions.

Align pays special attention to the user's comfort, as this factor is crucial for a satisfying treatment result and patients' compliance with the prescribed wearing time, according to recent research.
